Dear WebringAmerica Members,

It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you that WebringAmerica Free Forum Hosting is officially closed. As many of you know, over the past few weeks and months we have had major server issues and issues keeping the site online. Unfortunately, this past Sunday the final nail was laid in the coffin. Our previouly reliable Server 2, responsible for serving the sites freemybb2.com and webringamerica.com went down. It hasn't been back up since. In addition, when I attempted to restore your hosted forums on a new server I discovered that the backups I had been making weekly were being corrupted as they were being created, thus it is impossible for me to restore your forums as all forms of backup that I have contain SQL errors and will not import into a new web host.

I am very sorry that things had to end like this. The web host that I was using who is responsible for maintaining the freemybb2.com and webringamerica.com server appears to have gone out of business, and has taken my sites with them, so the likelyhood of the old server coming back online long enough for me to attempt to get a useable backup is slim to none. If by some miracle the old server comes back online I can attempt to make a backup that I can then transfer to a new host and restore service. Barring a miracle, however, it looks like WebringAmerica is no more.

If you were able to make a backup of your forum using the Backup Manager in your forum's Admin CP you can use this to restore your forum on another free or paid web host. You can get help with this procedure at the MyBB Support Forums.

If you have a free forum hosted with us on our freemybb.com server, which is still online, we will continue to host your forum at least through the end of 2008, perhaps into January 2009. You are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to make a backup of your forum using the Backup Manager in your forum's Admin CP. You can then use this backup to restore your forum on a new web host. If you're on our MyBB 1.2 forum hosting and you require a backup of your forums you may email me at rusnakweb@gmail.com and I'll see if I can get you a backup via email.

If you are on our Premium Web Hosting, your sites will continue to run for the time being. I will not shut down your sites without giving you adequate warning. I will contact the Premium clients shortly or before I make any changes to their accounts. For the time being all existing Premium Web Hosting members will be hosted for free.

I am truly sorry that things had to end like this. It's truly been a pleasure serving you all. I'm truly going to miss you all.
